SAT dates in India: 2026–27 deadlines and results

The next SAT is November 7, 2026: register by October 23, or by October 27 with the $38 late fee. After it come December 5, March 6, May 1, and June 5. The October 3 test has been held. Scores are scheduled for October 16, 2026. Check seats for your chosen date before planning travel.

SAT dates and registration deadlines

As of October 5, 2026, the next SAT is November 7, 2026: register by October 23, or by October 27 with the $38 late fee. The same dates apply in the US and abroad. College Board deadlines end at 11:59 p.m. US Eastern Time, not local midnight. A date on the calendar does not mean every center offers it.

The August 22, September 12, and October 3 tests have already been held, so they are not dates you can still book. If you need College Board to lend you a testing device, register and request it at least 30 days before test day. Leave time for score reporting before your application's deadline.

SAT score release dates

The official release calendar gives the dates below for students, and on October 5, 2026 it listed all eight 2026–27 weekend tests. A release date is not a promise of a particular local hour or proof that a university has received your report. Check your College Board account and the recipient's reporting instructions.

Past tests are included so you can find earlier results: scores for the August 22 and September 12 tests were released on September 4 and September 25.

Choose a date backward from the application

Write down the college's application deadline and last accepted testing date separately. Check whether it permits self-reporting or needs an official score report by that deadline. A November test can be too late for one early application and acceptable for another.

Leave room for one retake if it would serve your list. The best date is one with preparation time and a confirmed seat, not simply the last date before an application's deadline. Avoid treating a fall 2027 anticipated calendar as confirmed registration.

How to register in India

Book through your own College Board account. A school hosting the exam and a company selling SAT classes are different from the registration service. Paying for tuition does not reserve a test seat.

  1. Check the university's last accepted testing date, then choose a sitting that fits it.
  2. Use your legal name as it appears on the physical ID you will bring. Upload a photo meeting College Board's requirements.
  3. Select your date and India in the center search. Compare the exact campus, address, and available seats during registration.
  4. Choose the center, review the charge, and complete payment. Save the confirmed registration in My SAT.
  5. Install Bluebook on your testing device. Complete exam setup when it opens before your sitting to obtain the admission ticket.

What to do if you miss a deadline

If the regular deadline has passed, check whether the published late window remains open and a seat is available. If both windows have closed, choose another sitting; contacting a preparation provider cannot reopen College Board registration.

If borrowing a College Board device, the earlier 30-day request deadline matters. Plan that before relying on a late-registration window.

Check your ID before paying

For testing in India, College Board accepts a valid passport or Aadhaar PVC card; an Aadhaar letter must be the original government-issued hard copy. An e-Aadhaar printout or screenshot does not qualify. The ID rules also list the US Common Access Card exception.

Compare your account name with the document now. The admission ticket does not replace ID, and a phone image does not replace the original document.
