Function Notation Is Just Substitution
f(x) = 2x + 3 and y = 2x + 3 are the same equation. To find f(5), replace every x with 5. Anyone telling you function notation is harder than that is overcomplicating it.
Nested and Composite Functions
For f(g(x)), evaluate g first, then plug that result into f. Work inside-out. If SAT gives you f(g(2)), find g(2), call it k, then find f(k).
